We are the first and only gelato catering in Edmond Oklahoma! It is a service perfect for: baby showers, weddings, birthday parties etc.
We offer two different options:
- Self catering. We bring to your location our elegant table top serving case (refer to the photo below) with three small batches of gelato (serves 40-50 guests). No power needed to keep cold-the cold plate insulated containers (will keep cold for 2 hours). Includes 3 small batches, cups & spoons for 50, delivery, set up/breakdown, table with tablecloth, 4 hours rental time. The cost is $200.00.
- Catering with 1 server. The same service and equipment as above, but we include also up to 3 hours of one skilled server. The cost is $270.00.
A non refundable deposit of 50% is required at the moment of the reservation.

Roma’s Gelato is not just a gelato store. We also offer delightfully delicious frozen desserts. These include gelato pops (gelato on a stick), gelato cakes, and sorbet (English for sorbetto).
Gelato pops provide the same deliciousness as gelato in a cup, but in a much more portable form. You only need one hand to eat this. Most people have no trouble walking while enjoying their gelato pop, but there are those whose taste buds rule and they are forced to sit on a park bench to completely savor the creamy, sweet, fruity taste that is like none other. We get creative with our pops so that you will often have a choice of flavor combinations that will send your taste buds all the way to Italy and back in a matter of seconds. Too bad your body can’t go along on the trip.
Another of our delicious frozen desserts is our gelato cake. This is an Italian delicacy that is not to be missed. We prepare our cakes in the Italian “semi-freddo” style (meaning half-frozen). This technique creates a perfect consistency which eliminates the need to let the cake sit out before serving. Our gelato cakes can be created in any of the flavors of gelato we offer at any one time; the number of our gelato flavors will always be 18 – but will rotate – and there will always be 6 different flavors of sorbet making a total of 24 flavors from which to choose for the flavors of the cakes. Although the majority of our cakes are two flavors, you may choose up to three flavors for your custom-ordered cake.
Last, but certainly not least, is our wonderful sorbet. Sorbet is a delicacy that was, perhaps, enjoyed throughout history as a palate cleanser as much as a decadent dessert. Sorbet is favored after a particularly filling meal because it provides the sweetness that is craved while at the same time being so very light, delicious, and low calorie due to its lack of dairy. An example of the six sorbet flavors you might find in Roma’s Gelato are: strawberry, mango, lemon, blueberry, orange, and banana.
When travelers go to Italy, they are told that it is a requirement that they experience the gelato or other frozen desserts. When you visit Roma’s Gelato we ask that you pretend that you are in Italy and that you meet your daily gelato consumption quota. Buona degustazione!
When Americans hear the term Italian Ice, they are are as likely to envision gourmet snow cones as they are to think gelato or sorbet.
Let’s clear up these misconceptions and therefore enhance your culinary savvy.
First of all, Italian Ice is closer to being like sorbet because it contains no milk or eggs. Italian Ice might contain egg whites (not a requirement) and be made in the same method of freezing the ingredients while mixing them like the process for making ice cream, but it is very far away from being ice cream much less gelato. Italian Ice is made from fruit juices or purées which makes it more similar to sorbet.
You will find Italian Ices in a variety of flavors which include blue berry, raspberry, cherry, lemon, mango, orange, strawberry, and watermelon. Actually, the range of flavors is limited only by the creative palate of the maker.
We are Italian by birth and have no idea how the word Italian became attached to these summer treats. Perhaps it came from Italian immigrants who used their knowledge for making gelato and sorbet with their lack of dairy products due to the economic times in the early 1900s. It is anybody’s guess. Yes, the product is much superior to snow cones or shaved ice, but it is in no way in the same league as gelato.
We at Roma’s Gelato do proudly offer premium quality gelato, sorbet, gelato cakes and gelato pops. With this large selection, there is no need for Italian Ice.
Is it ice cream or is it Gelato? That is the question. An American just seeing gelato would immediately decide that it looks like our soft-serve ice cream that has been around for years. However, this common mistake is very far from the truth.
Never before has the old adage, ‘looks can be deceiving’, been more true. If you dismiss gelato as simply being a prettied-up soft-serve ice cream and walk on by without tasting this magical concoction, you would have just missed out on the most delightful culinary experience Italy has brought to the modern world. The difference between ice-cream in the fewest words comes down to:
GELATO = Less fat + little air added = rich creamier taste
Ice cream has a higher fat content and more calories. How the Italians were able to make this fantastic concoction even more tasty than our beloved ice cream is a part of history that goes back many centuries but gained popularity among the Italian masses only in the 1920s.
Premium ice creams are made using fresh cream, real eggs, and natural flavorings. Then air is whipped in to the point that as much as half the carton may be air.
On the other hand, gelato is made with whole milk but significantly less butterfat than ice cream. However, less fat does not mean less taste. With the lower butterfat content, gelato is less solidly frozen than ice cream and melts in the mouth faster. Therefore your taste buds experience the full flavor of the gelato immediately.
The higher density of gelato makes for a richer, creamier taste than you will get from ice cream. More mouth watering taste than you have ever experienced from a frozen dessert but with less fat and less calories! Your taste buds are happy and your waistline does not expand! What could be better?

Panini is the Italian word for sandwich and it is the plural of panino.
In our panini we not only put passion, but the best of ingredients, mostly imported from Italy.
Although our panini are more expensive than average, the quality is at the top and they are freshly made in our kitchen, right behind the wall of the serving area.
Our panini are made with ingredients like cured meats, cheese, vegetables.
Why do we use products mostly imported from Italy? We do this, despite the higher cost, in order to give the best culinary experience possible. We would never buy “beef bologna made in Germany”. Bologna, or better mortadella, is always made with pork and only in Italy we know how to make it properly.

We are also working on finding the right flat bread for tramezzini; tramezzini are present all over Italy and once considered just a snack, they became part of a quick lunch meal for the busy, but discerning, individual. Sort of Italian fast food, but demanding for high quality food.

We serve the whole family of Espresso (single or double shot) based beverages, such as Cappuccino (some big chains call it a Latte, but in Italy, which is the Country of origin, is called Cappuccino), Americano, Mocha, Caramel Latte and others.
Some of them are hot, some are iced. Most of these products can be served with flavored syrups, to give your beverage a personal touch.
We select the finest products for our Customers aiming to offer sustainable growth coffees and organic production when possible.

We prefer to serve our Espresso and Cappuccino in china cups, as we do in Italy, but we understand the need for larger portions and take away so we also offer 12, 16 and 20 oz. cups.
